Rupert Egerton-Smith, who is an award-winning pianist and composer performed for us on behalf of The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust. Rupert played his ‘Evolve’ recital programme including works by Rameau, Chopin (B minor Sonata Op.58), Debussy, Ravel, Rachmaninov and Gershwin. A launch party was held at the church between 7.00 and 8.30pm where we heard about the vision for the ‘Tower Stories’ project. The Friends has been successful in its application to the National Heritage Lottery Fund. We had been awarded just over £247,000. The money will be used to repair and refurbish the iconic … Read more
The open gardens weekend was a great success and 369 tickets were sold, 16 gardens were open over the two days, entrance was £6 per person to cover both days.
