1998 – Conservation of the St Michael statue. The north porch was built in the 14th century of Wolverton stone. It has a fine decorated ceiling. 1980s

During the 1980s the Still Chapel was decorated and refurnished. The Bettesthorne Chapel(now the St Matthew Chapel) had windows repaired, lime washed the walls and a new stoneshelf was installed for the Piscina (a shallow basin placed near the altar used for washing thecommunion vessels). The North Parvis room painted and windows repaired.

1970s

The start date of the Friends was Michaelmas 1976 although the constitution was not finalised until 1979. The committee decidedthat their first project would be the South Chapel as and when funds were available. The proposed order of the work was:
