The open gardens weekend was a great success and 369 tickets were sold, 16 gardens were open over the two days, entrance was £6 per person to cover both days. Tea and cakes were provided in one of the gardens and in the Grove Building. The event was primarily to raise funds for the Garden Club & Friends of St Michaels Church.
The total income from ticket sales was £2214, expenses incurred came to £213.56.
Profits distribution, Mere Garden Club & Friends of St Michaels Church each received £850.22. £100 to each of the following ;- Lynch Close Community Centre, Seeds for success, Mere Pre-School.
Income from the teas & cakes plus some plant sales are not included in this figure.
