A launch party was held at the church between 7.00 and 8.30pm where we heard about the vision for the ‘Tower Stories’ project. The Friends has been successful in its application to the National Heritage Lottery Fund. We had been awarded just over £247,000. The money will be used to repair and refurbish the iconic Pinnacles, Tower and Clock, and develop a series of heritage, artistic and educational projects centred around the Tower of St Michael’s Church.
