Reordering was the name given to four separate projects that cost a total of £138,000. A legacy from a former member of the Friends started the fund raising for these projects and in all the people of Mere raised £92,000. Generous donations were made by the Fudge Trust, Garfield Western, Wiltshire Historic Churches and Baer Charitable Trust.
The work was undertaken by K&B Builders of Gillingham. The architect was Brian Watts and David Bett project managed the work on behalf of the Friends.
- Installation of two lavatories and flower cupboard behind the beautiful screen under the tower
- Glass and oak inner porch for the north door
- The servery or ‘kitchen in a cupboard’
- Ancient pews moved to St Mathews chapel and victorian pine pine were sold
