I am delighted to say that after the business of the meeting is concluded and after a short break, we will hear from Fiona Davies, author of the lottery sponsored “Guide to St Michael’s Church”, which we will be launching at the AGM.
In conversation, we will hear how she went about her research, and her reflections on St Michaels’ and the people of Mere whose stories she uncovered. Copies of the Guide will be available and it will be a lovely opportunity to say a big ‘thank you’ to Fiona and to Steve Hawkins (who produced the photographs) for their work on this project.
If you are an annual member, please may I remind you that renewals of membership, which run from the AGM, can be done very quickly and easily via the Friends’ website. Thank you very much for your continued support.
As always, we welcome feedback and if you feel that you have the skill, time or enthusiasm, to get directly involved in running the Friends, stand for the Committee, or help at events, even in a small way or on an ad hoc basis, please do let us know. As I’ve said before, we are a Friendly bunch, and we would be delighted to welcome you!
